Module Texts
Health Informatics is a dynamic and quickly changing field of healthcare, recommended texts may therefore need to change to reflect the current situation. A list of recommended texts will therefore be provided in the Module Handbook for each year. Students will also seek out reading material related to their specific project area.

Module Learning Strategies
This is a student centred project, but you can expect regular support from both your academic supervisor and work based mentor. Academic supervision makes up 15 minutes per week (approximately). Additionally, there will be two, 30 minute scheduled formative review sessions. There will also be a midpoint interview which has both formative and summative purpose.
Module Additional Assessment Details
A COURSEWORK weighted at 100%.
Comprising:-
A project proposal weighted at 10% (1000 words) - Learning Outcome 1
Midpoint interview weighted at 10% - Presentation of the research (no more than 10 slides, 10 minutes plus questions) - learning outcomes 2 and 3
Formal Report weighted at 60% (5000 words) - All learning outcomes
Demonstration/Presentation of artefact (20 mins plus questions) weighted at 20% - All learning outcomes
