Module Additional Assessment Details
Examination two hours 50% (LOs 1,2,3)
A portfolio of practical exercises demonstrating knowledge of DBA roles 50% (LO 4)
Module Learning Strategies
The style of the module is based on a series of lectures that present material, refer you to internal and external references and guide you in further study. You will be expected to follow these references and others of your own to build on the body of knowledge presented in the lecture. Electronic learning strategies will be used extensively.
There will be a series of practical exercises that build into a portfolio. For example students could be asked to consider a case study a produce and justify an access strategy for various users.
Normally one lecture, one practical and one workshop per week.
