Module Learning Strategies
This module will have associated with it a Negotiated Learning Contract. The purpose of the contract is to state how your learning will be supported, the specific award related learning outcomes that will need to be met in addition to the generic ones below, the assessment specification and marking criteria and a list of texts that might prove useful.
The time allowed for supervision is the equivalent of 15 minutes per week though this will usually be organised as email/telephone communique with a number of formative reviews. There will be a mid-point interview with the second assessor which will have both formative and summative purpose.

This major project requires the student to carry out research into a suitable area, which will lead to the development of a technology and/or or business process artefact.

Module Additional Assessment Details
Comprising:
A project proposal with initial literature review and detailed project plan weighted at 25% (circa 3000 words) - Learning Outcome 1
Midpoint interview weighted at 15% - Presentation of the research (10 slides, 20 minutes plus questions) - learning outcomes 2 and 3
Formal Report and presentation weighted at 60% (minimum 9000 words) - Learning Outcomes 4 - 8
