This will consist of independent research in pursuance of investigating the topic chosen for the project using appropriate research methods. Students will be referred to recent publications and appropriate learning resources to complete the investigation.

They will be expected to investigate and evaluate social, legal and ethical implications of the IT technology, problem or solution they research. Relevant commercial aspects will also be considered. An analysis of where mathematical principles and computational modelling are used or are necessary for the area of study will be undertaken.
