ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Portfolio of tasks - Students will undertake a portfolio of 4 tasks covering various academic skills with formative submissions organised at 2-weekly intervals throughout the term, with feedback provided following each submission. The Portfolio of tasks will carry 40% of the overall module marks (Learning Outcomes 1 and 3).

Presentation - The presentation will be a reflective overview of the portfolio tasks taking into account the teaching around presentation skills and reflection, and the feedback given for each task. The presentation will carry 40% of the overall module marks and will be held during a tutorial session (Learning Outcome 1).

Personal Development Plan - Students will perform a skills audit and develop a career plan. They will produce a personal development plan based on this information (Learning Outcome 2).

All teaching sessions will blend theory and practical learning. Students will be introduced to curriculum concepts and ideas and will then be able to apply theory to practical examples within the same sessions. In addition, students will be provided with a range of resources for independent study such as case studies, academic papers and industry stories.

WEB DESCRIPTOR
This module is designed to help you to develop both academically and as a professional practitioner using digital technologies. You will be encouraged and supported in the creation of a portfolio of tasks to facilitate the development of key academic and professional skills alongside the development of digital skills at the levels required for your course. The module also identifies and explores ethical, legal, communication, and other non-technical factors that contribute to the success (or failure) of the development of digital systems in a professional environment. As part of the module you will consider your future career and perform a skills audit in order to produce a detailed personal development plan.
