1. Reflect on the different techniques for the development of web applications in order to select an appropriate one for a given scenario.

Additional Assessment Details
The assessment will comprise of 1 assignment, which will involve students working as individuals. Students will be given a scenario to produce a 5-page client-side web application, showing their stages of design and development. This will involve a 20-minute presentation and demonstration of what they have produced and the reasoning behind it. (100%) (LOs 1-4)

Web Descriptor
In choosing this module you will further your existing knowledge in web design and development by using current technologies such as HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. You will also be introduced to current development environments and frameworks on both the client and server side. You will also use the latest API's and other emerging technologies.
Learning Strategies
Lecture/lab-based sessions, which will comprise delivery of theoretical material, tutor-led practical walkthroughs and self-directed exercises to support transfer of knowledge and understanding. You will also be encouraged to develop your intellectual, communicative and problem-solving skills.

You will undertake ‘formative’ assessments during the module to help you monitor your learning and provide you and us with ongoing feedback on your progress, that helps you prepare for the summative assessment during or at the end of the module.
