Indicative Content
This module will cover the following topics:

- Network redundancy
- Link aggregation
- Wireless Networks
- Wire Area Networks (PPP with CHAP and PAP, WAN technologies & types)
- VPN technologies
- Advanced Routing technologies
- Troubleshooting
Assessment Details
PRACTICAL: A case study that provides the student with networking scenarios to investigate and find solutions for (Learning Outcomes 1, and 4).

CLASS-TEST: An online class-test that will provide multiple networking scenarios in which students must determine the best solutions for (Learning Outcomes 2, and 3)
Learning Strategies
Teaching time is divided as follows - 65 hours of lectures/tutorials which includes seminars/workshops (assignment clinics and revision sessions), communication skills development sessions, and seminar development classes.
Learning Outcomes
1. Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot router, WAN, switch and VLAN, including access lists in extensive router-based internetworks.

2. Demonstrate critical knowledge and understanding of VLANS, the spanning-tree protocol, network management principles and associated tools.

3. Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot router WAN connection in a router-based internetwork according to industry standards.

4. Demonstrate critical knowledge and understanding of VPN.
