This module represents a group of compulsory, non-SU modules. These modules are mandatory as per national regulatory body (the MQA). They are not SU modules but they are compulsory before the students studying the courses that this module is linked to, can be granted an exit award. The purpose of setting up this single extra module in SITS is to act as an alert or a safety mechanism/ filter for SU’s admin team in SaAS, in order to check first whether the students are eligible to be awarded (i.e. once they have passed the compulsory modules required by the MQA).
