Assignment: 100% consisting of a portfolio of practical exercises which will assess Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Introduction to suitable programming environments
Concept of the .NET framework

Designing and implementing event-driven applications
Graphical User Interface components such as buttons, text boxes, labels and option buttons

Basic graphics using co-ordinate systems

Overview of main object-oriented terms

There will be 12 lectures covering the theoretical issues of Visual Basic.NET
There will be 36 practical sessions providing opportunities to implement theoretical issues
Independent study will involve reading course material prior to lectures and attempting exercises to demonstrate new theoretical topics.
