A series of on-line TESTs examining the core concepts and principles of enterprise mobility, including assessment of a case study involving the proposition of an enterprise mobility-based solution for a given organisational context. (Learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4, total length 3 hours).
Module Indicative Content
This module focuses on the key issues associated with the conception, creation and deployment of mobile systems in an enterprise-wide context. Indicative areas of focus in the module include:

Enterprise Mobility - its definition, origin and transformational nature in organisations.
A critical review of models of Enterprise Mobility.
Core concepts: temporal and locational and modal aspects of mobility and their transformational impact.
Understanding a range of business/organisational context and the associated value afforded by the adoption of mobile solutions.
A systematic approach to the conceptualisation and development of mobile solutions to enhance competitive advantage.
Mobile Work - the changing nature of the workplace and engagement.
Design issues: (re)design of business process and service; (re)design of physical and logical components; (re)design of the interaction models in context of usability issues.
Social impact and legal and ethical issues.

Module Learning Strategies
On-line materials will exemplify topical issues and best practice case studies.
