100% in-course assessment, comprising:-
Practical assignment 80% assessing learning outcomes 3 and 4.
Online test (1 hour) 20% assessing learning outcomes 1 to 4.
Module Indicative Content
This module will include an introduction to computers architecture and the use of hexadecimal in RGB colours. The module will then introduce the Internet and show the fundamentals of its structure. It will also demonstrate to students the standards used on the WWW in terms of colour safe palettes and types of file format used, as well as storage and retrieval of hypertext documents.

Students will also learn the construction of hypertext documents from first principles of coding including:-
- Tag and tag attributes
- Tables
- Inclusion of images and video on web pages
- Metatags
- Forms
- Frames
Students will also compare the use of WYSIWYG editors for website development with Html coding.
