You will learn about historical developments in Music and be shown how the industry has constantly embraced technology in many forms to become the vibrant industry it has become today.
You will learn about:
- Music Globalisation
- Cultural changes
- Live performance developments
- The evolution of Music Technology.

One of the key topics will be the influence that multimedia and the Web have had on the Music industry, with this in mind you will study the technology behind the creation, development and distribution of multimedia assets with a particular focus on their use on the Web. Topics covered will include:
- Media asset creation
- Introduction to compression technologies for image and video assets
- Formatting media assets for specific purpose
- Web design and development from first principles of HTML as well as utilising integrated software solutions
* Navigational design strategies
* Positioning Objects
* Web Media
- Managing websites
