Module Indicative Content
This module will include an introduction to computer and web architecture. The module will then introduce the Internet and show the fundamentals of its structure using various aspects of document delivery, services and standards. It will also demonstrate to students how standards are used on the WWW in terms of colour safe palettes and types of file format used, delivery of media and the use of standards in the storage and retrieval of hypertext documents.
Students will also learn the construction of hypertext documents from first principles of coding including:-
- Tag and tag attributes
- Tables
- Inclusion of images and video on web pages
- Metatags
- Forms
- Frames
Students will also compare the use of WYSIWYG editors for website development with Html coding.
