Creation of media elements- 3D and video - a portfolio of various 3D models and a video with special effects. This will be accompanied with a design report (750 words).
Assignment 2 (40%) Learning Outcomes 3, 4 and 5
A web site to show how video, audio and 3D can be represented on the web. This will be accompanied with a design and testing report (1000 words). Final

3D Graphics
- Analysis of 3D objects and their breakdown into individual sub components
- Main 3D principles of object modelling, including shape creation and adaptation
- Familiarity with working in a 3D space (x, y, z manipulation)
- Application and manipulation of objects through functions such as extrudes, insets, and Boolean functions
- Development and application of materials and textures
- Basics of biped and character modelling
- Creation of 3D architecture and Virtual Environments using AEC templates
- Usage of cameras in created scenes
- Creating and applying lighting Sources to scenes and objects
- Texture work using an image editing software

Module Learning Strategies
The module is taught with 26 hours of lectures and 52 hours of practical sessions which will support the underlying knowledge and skills required to complete the module. Students will be encouraged to gain further knowledge in design principles to back-up the module content.
