Module Learning Strategies
The lecture will support the two lab sessions. The lab sessions will run in groups of 70 with 2 members of staff in attendance. The lab sessions will support the underlying knowledge and skills required to complete the module, and will be facilitated with booklets, course texts (if any) and the internet. Group discussions will also take place in these sessions. Independent study will be used to research and learn practical skills.

Students will look at advanced areas of web multimedia including the following:-
SVG - production and practice
SMIL - production and practice
Streaming Media - setup and reasoning
Web Accessibility
Advanced scripting for web multimedia - Action Script
Multiuser distributed multimedia
Web TV applications
Mobile Multimedia applications.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Assignment (100%), Learning Outcome 1-4.
Students will develop an advanced web multimedia application and document this in a report.
