- Web page design concepts
- Web Page construction using web editors and scripting languages
- Web Multimedia
- Design issues for different web applications such as e-commerce and m-commerce including Human Computer Interfaces
- Internet Ethics
- Concepts of server side and client side scripting
- Familiarisation with current trends in browser technology
- Web usability/HCI
Module Learning Outcome
1. Recognise and distinguish between good and bad Web site construction;
2. Understand the principles of designing for different web applications
3. Create a usable database driven web application
4. Discuss internet ethics and issues involved in designing pages for people with disabilities
5. Produce well designed pages containing web multimedia content
6. Publish web sites to the internet/intranet
