Module Learning Strategies
The module employs a range of learning strategies including small group workshops, discussion groups, lectures and seminars, activity based learning via campus visits and student shadowing, appropriate to the learning activity.
Module Indicative Content
The module introduces students to the range of options that are open to them at NQF Level 4, and enables them to analyse what they wish to do in the future. They will identify and explore the barriers that may persuade and dissuade students from going into Higher Education. They will undertake a range of different learning styles and situations which take place in HE. Students will also explore some of the broader aspects of the progression to HE, including budgeting for themselves, independent living etc.
Module Additional Assessment Details
You will compile a portfolio learning diary comprising of the different activities undertaken on HE Challenge and reflective diary entries where you will outline your own understanding of and response to the activities undertaken.
