Module Indicative Content
This module will explore the concept of voluntary activity in its practical application. It is designed for those who either: i) have undertaken 40 hours of voluntary activity; ii) are currently in the process of undertaking 40 hours of voluntary activity; or iii) have found a voluntary placement and have fulfilled all preconditions so that the 40 hours of voluntary activity can be completed during the 12 weeks of the module. The module will focus on the practical activity of volunteering and on reflection on the volunteering process.
Module Learning Strategies
The programme will be delivered primarily through independent learning. The independent study hours will be devoted to 40 hours of volunteering and to reflection on the activity of volunteering. Ten hours will be allotted to work with a supervisor, who will oversee the voluntary activity and the preparation of the assessments, including delivery of an individual poster presentation.
