Module Indicative Content
The module is designed to provide members of local authority regeneration teams with both individual and team capacity building opportunities. The course will run in 9 day-long sessions over a period of about 3 months. The course has three strands:site visits to provide examples of both good and poor regeneration practice, masterclasses with national experts to enhance knowledge about particular issues such as masterplanning and action learning sets (seminars) to allow students to engage in discussion about the site visits and masterclasses and to reflect on the relevance to their practical work.
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. Site visits will provide practical examples of regeneration practices, and masterclasses will consider some of the central issues relating to an understanding of regeneration. The Action Learning Sets (seminars) will allow discussion of the issues raised in the visits and masterclasses. The independent study will allow reading around selected topics, the development of individual critical responses to the reading and the preparation for the learning diary and the essay.
