Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module provides the opportunity to reflect upon and evaluate your current experience of the professional world of work within the creative and cultural industries and the opportunity to enhance employability and the development of business skills.
You will be required to review your opportunities to build further individual knowledge and skills development and an evaluation will be made to identify any further relevant training requirements to enhance employability or business development.

You may be engaged in a single long term work or business experience or undertake a combination of placements adding up to a minimum of 200 hours experience. The particular work/business experience undertaken and its appropriateness will be discussed and agreed between tutor and student. This will ensure a programme of experience and training that maximises benefits for student and employer/business.

Module Additional Assessment Details
Workplace reflective and evaluative diary or blog 2000 words weighted at 30% (LO 1,2, 3,4,5)

A Seminar presentation weighted at 20%. (LO 1,4,5)

A portfolio of work produced whilst in employment or business practice within the creative and cultural industries weighted at 50%. (LO 1,2,3)
Module Learning Strategies
Attendance at an initial workshop aimed at providing insight and exploring the key aspects of work experience opportunities, matching aspirations to assessment requirements, reiterating the individual's role and responsibilities whilst engaged in work experience/business development.
Individual progress supervision via VLE tutorials.
Independent individual reflection and evaluation via ongoing diary or online Blog.
Student presentations appropriate for a group audience, which will provide insight and reflection of the experience/business development undertaken throughout this module.
