This module sets out to equip you with advanced techniques that will support your ability to generate new ideas, to present and communicate them persuasively and to turn them into reality. It is focused on exploring the nature of the two key attributes of Creative Futures graduates: creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
Students undertaking this module will already have a wealth of specific creative skills and experience, whether this comes from undergraduate study or work practice, or both, and we will look both to build on this experience and to sharpen the application of existing skills to the processes of innovation and enterprise. The module introduces you to advanced academic practice and study skills for success at Masters level, including frameworks for reflective practice, and takes you from ideas generation techniques, to the selection and development of a single idea.
You will be supported in developing skills to ground your idea in evidence based research, and will learn how to present that idea in convincing and persuasive ways .An exploration of the value of networking and pitching your idea to potential partners/funders/clients will be undertaken, and you will be encouraged to use reflection to inform and refine the whole process to help you to apply your learning in the future.
