Module Learning Strategies
150 hours of which 15 will be interactive lectures, group work, seminars and blended learning and the rest independent study including ministry context based work and observation of other contexts. Contact time will involve a combination of group activities, student-led work, teaching input, case studies, skills practice, discussions and reflective activities. Additional material to guide personal study will be provided through the MyCYM VLE.
Module Indicative Content
This module will provide an introduction to the course as a whole, giving a brief overview of key aspects of pioneer ministry and mission including Missio Dei, Mission Shaped Church, Mission Shaped Ministry, Lifeshapes, Emerging Church and the Church Planting Movement. The module will consider understandings and models of vocation and ministry and explore how these might outwork in a pioneer context, developing reflective practice skills and encouraging engagement with ministerial formation, skills development and self-care.
