Module Details
Module Learning Strategies
150 hours, of which 10 will be interactive lectures, group work, seminars and blended learning and the rest independent study including ministry context based work. Contact time will involve a combination of group activities, student reflection, role play, skills practice and discussion. Additional material to guide personal study will be provided through MyCYM VLE.

Module Indicative Content
This module looks at key developmental theory and explores concepts like faith and morality, which describe and explain a human lifespan. The module considers the impact this has upon work with children, young people and adults and identifies factors which help and hinder development. Students will establish the skills and tools needed to support healthy development and explore a range of models and styles of intervention relevant to community based pioneer ministry.
