This module explores key concepts around learning in informal settings and the facilitation of learning in relation to personal and spiritual growth. Students will be encouraged to reflect on understandings of and models of discipleship relevant to pioneer contexts. The module will consider issues around learning and facilitation styles and will explore how to work effectively and appropriately with groups. Students will be encouraged to develop communication and facilitation skills and awareness of power, responsibility and participation.

150 hours, of which 10 will be interactive lectures, group work, seminars and blended learning and the rest independent study including ministry context based work. Contact time will involve a combination of teaching input, experiential group activities, discussion, presentations, skills practice and evaluation. Additional material to guide personal study will be provided through MyCYM VLE.
