Module Indicative Content
The module introduces the concepts of contextual ministry, reflective practice and theological reflection. It familiarises students with the principles and methods of theological reflection and its central place in reflective professional and ministerial practice. It also introduces core skills and practices applicable to studying on a context based degree programme.
Context to include:
Nature of contextual ministry and variety of approaches and models.
Models of reflective practice and theological reflection and the relationship between the two.
Application of reflective practice and theological reflection to ministry contexts.
Study skills for ministry and theology.
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the practice work place will help develop professional and ministry skills.
