Module Learning Strategies
150 hours, of which 10 will be interactive lectures, group work, seminars and blended learning and the rest independent study including ministry context based work. Interactive lectures will involve a combination of teaching input, questionnaires, group activities, student led work, reflections on observations, debate and reflection. Additional material to guide personal study will be provided through the MyCYM VLE.

Module Indicative Content
This module will explore the key principles underpinning leadership and management in voluntary organisations and communities in Christian contexts. It will consider the relationship between leadership and management and consider theological perspectives on leadership, management of self, others and work. Students will develop a critical understanding of the core skills and competencies necessary to leadership roles in pioneer settings. They will explore the application of management skills within ministry and consider the role of reflection in developing competence in the field.
