Module Indicative Content
This module will provide an overview of different approaches to mission and ways in which you can develop a contextual mission strategy. You will explore different models of church from both a contemporary and historical perspective and identify and explore how you might facilitate young people to more effectively engage with church. You will gain an overview of both the content of and development of early Christian creeds and explore their relevance to contemporary mission.
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. 20 hours of the learning hours in this module are practice based to help develop your professional skills, these are not part of the contact hours for the module.
