Module Indicative Content
This module will encourage the development of skills needed by reflective practitioners who are learning as they work, reflecting on their experiences and adapting their practice in light of their evaluations. Focus will be given to the theories of Schon, Dewey, Claxton, Lewin and Kolb. It will consider a range of approaches to reflection as well as intervention methods.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% Coursework:
Part 1: (60%) 5 reflective journals of a minimum of 800 words including theory and theology which cover the following areas: Developing learning opportunities, working to professional standards and within boundaries, agency and personal values, areas for development within your agency.
Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 4 and 5

Part 2: (40%) 2000 word critical analysis of themselves as a reflective practitioner including areas for development.

Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
