Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module explores the nature of faith based schools work within a British context. It engages with a range of perspectives on education including the role of policy and curriculum in schools. It provides an overview of the debate of schools work as mission and schools work as education that has historically been present in faith based youth work, allowing students to analyse and contribute to this. It introduces students to a range of interventions and opportunities for faith based youth workers and gives tools to develop a theological perspective and to critique their role.

Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
