Module Indicative Content
This module enables the student to develop and demonstrate the competences of a Christian worker, which may include work in a range of settings. It includes significant practice hours as a Christian worker and the development and demonstration of theological engagement with ministry practice. The student’s work is monitored and assessed by an experienced Practice Tutor.
The module will provide the opportunity to build on the three competences developed at foundation level by developing and demonstrating knowledge, skills, attitudes and theological reflection within the three intermediate competences designated by the course as required of a Christian Worker within in a range of ministry contexts, these being:
1. Leadership and Management
2. Participation and Community
3. Missional and Ministerial Formation
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
