Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will explore issues around anti-oppressive practice in relation to diversity. It will engage
with theoretical and theological perspectives on diversity and explore how these might be outworked
and applied in practice in church, community and pioneering settings. The module will consider the
beliefs, traditions and practices within other faith communities and students will be asked to reflect on
their own responses to diversity, including any cultural biases and assumptions.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
150 hours, of which 20 will be interactive lectures, group work, seminars and blended learning and the
rest independent study including ministry situation based work. Interactive lectures will involve a
combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. Additional
material to guide personal study will be provided through the MyCYM VLE.
