Module Indicative Content
This module builds on concepts from 'Approaches to Pedagogy', 'Human Development' and 'Spirituality and Pastoral Care' modules. It covers approaches to discipling children in the Christian faith, and nurturing their spirituality and holistic wellbeing within a church context on the basis of a clear understanding of the stages of faith development. It will explore how to facilitate children's engagement with the Bible and how to integrate work with children and families within the broader church community whilst considering the influence
Module Additional Assessment Details
Coursework 100%: Present an annotated programme (reflecting the learning outcomes) for a specific children's work context of not less than 6 sessions that references appropriate theory and theology. (3000 words or equivalent)

Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
