Module Details
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
Module Indicative Content
The purpose of this module is to explore the nature of identity from a Christian perspective, with the particular concern of demonstrating how the popular arts can shape, inform and enliven such an exploration. The module will contain a high level of interaction between the student and their chosen art forms. Students will explore themes of identity and theology in a range of artistic and popular culture media.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% Coursework: Standard (3000) word essay critically analysing a specific piece of art in the light of identity and theology.

50% Coursework: Artwork (1500 words or equivalent) Create a piece of art work on the theme of identify and theology.

50% Coursework: Reflection (1500 words or equivalent) drawing on theoretical and theological frameworks that underpin the piece of art work.
