One of:
a) Identify an agency or project which is engaged in faith and justice issues with children and or young people, critically analyse the moral, political, biblical and theological mandate that underpins the work, their approach to anti-oppressive practice and locate their work in a broader policy framework and show how you can use the work of the agency to facilitate learning.

b) In the context of your practice agency, construct, deliver and evaluate a learning session tackling a topic around justice/injustice that incorporates all the learning outcomes.

c) Take three of the teachings of Christ and analyse them through the lens of professional practice, anti oppressive practice and current policy issues and using at least one theological perspective eg liberation, child, feminist, black etc demonstrating how you can use them in a learning context.

Module Indicative Content
This module will look at concepts and constructs of justice. It will explore issues of justice and injustice, including policy responses to justice issues. Theoretical and theological frameworks will be evaluated. The module will engage with how justice is understood and experienced, using case studies to demonstrate different perspectives. The application to current legal and policy issues will be explored eg youth and criminal justice system, school exclusion policies and age of responsibility.
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
