Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.

1. at least 3 examples of use of play and/or creativity in your practice (individual, group or personal) including at least 1 related to worship or spiritual development
2. critical reflection on the theology and philosophy informing your selection and your skills in practice (3,000 words or equivalent)

Module Indicative Content
This module aims to explore the importance of a variety of forms of play and creativity (both structured and unstructured) in human development and their role in engagement with children and young people. It will include the theology and philosophy of play, fun and creativity, different approaches to play and creativity including specific activities that can be used in a variety of contexts. It will explore play from the perspectives of both socialization and spirituality.
