Module Indicative Content
This module will enable the student to produce a professional evaluation of a piece of practice in their field employing research skills, and to present their findings and recommendations to appropriate audiences. This will develop the skills established in their professional practice modules across the course including theological reflection on practice, and contribute to developing evidence based practice.
Students will negotiate and agree a title and topic with their module tutor and the supervisor for this piece of work. They will also be expected to complete an ethical clearance form for the work to be undertaken. Students will get 4 one hour sessions (or equivalent) one to one with a designated supervisor. Detailed written guidelines are provided.
Module Learning Strategies
This module incorporates several inter-related learning strategies. The interactive learning groups will provide lectures and seminars involving a combination of group activities, student led work, simulations, skills practice, discussion etc. The independent study provides opportunity for reading, library based and online research. The remote learning in the professional practice work place will help develop professional skills.
