INDICATIVE CONTENT
Substance misuse and addiction have a severe impact on the individual, their families and their community. Substance addition can be costly to society especially in relation to local responses to crime, disease, domestic violence, abuse, job loss and homelessness.

Students will critically analyse the substance and drug classification system before investigating the impact of substance misuse on society. Students will evaluate public services response to both substance misuse related crime and also consider the health and social needs that substance misusers have and the available support services which are community based.
ASSESSMENT DETAILS
The presentation activity will link to:

LO. 1 Demonstrate a systemic understanding of leadership and management theories and principles, and their impact on the effectiveness of an organisation
LO. 2 Investigate the impact of substance misuse locally and identify potential solutions
