This module will prepare students with an interest in AI and its applications the understanding and appreciation of the ethical and legal issues associated with artificial intelligence, as well as to the methods of analysis of those issues. This module takes an interdisciplinary approach uncovering the important aspect of technology (in this AI) combined with Ethics and Law. The module will provide real world illustrations about ethical and legal concerns in different AI applications, their potential implications and how they can be addressed. These illustrations will be presented and discussed in the form of case studies where students can apply their learning and are able to formulate and communicate their views, translating abstract ethical or legal concepts into business practice where AI is implicated.
