Module Indicative Content
This module is intended to provide skills in the practical use of professional computer-aided stage lighting design software and to give students an understanding of the lighting design process, terminology, symbols and graphics. The module will train students to open and draw plans, select lanterns and fixtures, incorporate colour, gobos and other accessories and focus virtual beams of light. The module will also teach students how to draw up basic venues and staging, use layers and patch channels. Students will be taught how to render their lighting designs in a virtual three dimensional environment and print paper lighting-layout plans and drawings.
