A 7000 Word Portfolio to be negotiated with the supervisor will consist of:-

The exact nature and content being identified by the student, with appropriate staff help. It will probably take the form of analytical, preparatory, experimental and other practical work relating to theatre practice plus associated research that underpins the project.

INDICATIVE CONTENT
The project detail should be decided by negotiation with the chosen tutor. The purpose of this Negotiated Study module is for you to explore a specific area, within your chosen specialism in theatre practice. Research must be undertaken into a specific subject area and work undertaken should be evidenced with testing, reflection and critical evaluation. The work you choose to undertake within this module should contribute to and compliment the development of your overall programme of study, as outlined in your Learning Contract.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Self-managed learning through direction with tutor. Learning may take place through a range of strategies including: face-to-face tutorials, short courses, podcasts, online discussion or attendance at/participation in relevant conferences.
TEXTS
You are expected to take advantage of public as well as expert debates in your field of research, track relevant and authoritative resources available and keep abreast of current developments through appropriate printed and online publications. You are also encouraged to identify and interview relevant experts and expected to stay abreast of latest practices within the field and attend professional industry events.
