INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module follows all the stages of production from the writing of the script to the releasing of the film and, on the one hand, is the first direct link of the MA with the industry, where you will be able to meet and exchange views and opinions with professionals of the field, while, on the other, you will theoretically review the field. During the course some seminars or workshop with professionals (a script writer, a director and a cinematographer) will inform and guide you through the essential process of filmmaking. This will be a vigorous experience during which you will be able to understand the function of the core disciplines that complete the art of filmmaking and are prerequisites for an impeccable, ingenious, professional acting performance for the screen. Examples of existing filmed material will help you compare the practical knowledge offered and advance your critical approach and analysis.
The aim of the course is to enable you to critically approach audio-visual language and through particular case studies of world film history and theory to immerse you into the narrative, dramaturgical, technical, and aesthetic aspects of cinema from its early stages to its contemporary challenging forms. This will help you expand your originality as a professional of the film and television industry and to acquire a first-hand sense of the creative, theoretical and technical, production process. You will be also asked to critically approach, individually and as part of a team, film-makers’ work (national and international). This will give you the ability to explore the dynamics of the field and advance your potential as a screen actor.
