INDICATIVE CONTENT
The Political Economics of Marxism & Leninism module is a core component of the curriculum for all majors, with particular importance for Economics students. It offers scientific knowledge on the subjects, methods, and functions of political economy.
The module covers economic categories and laws of the market economy, including capitalism's "free competition" and "monopoly" phases. It provides a theoretical foundation for developing a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam, understanding interest relationships in the market, and grasping Vietnamese socio-economic policies.
Additionally, it explains current economic trends in Vietnam within the context of international economic integration. The module enables students to analyze domestic and international economic, political, and social issues and apply this understanding to address economic interests.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The learning strategy for the module requires students to prepare and review materials outlined in the syllabus in advance and engage in self-study to strengthen the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Concepts, theories, and principles will be explored and applied through quizzes, case studies, perspective presentations, assignments and group work, with oral feedback provided during sessions.
Additionally, studying the Political Economy of Marxism-Leninism will incorporate dialectical materialism, logical and historical methods, and scientific abstraction.
