Module Learning Strategies
Tutor input will focus on key equality legislation in relation to the responsibilities of the education organisation and the professional practitioner.

The learner will consider how equality and diversity can be advanced in terms of their own practice and within their organisation.

Learners will then evaluate the extent to which their current assessment strategies promote or hinder achievement of learners and then consider what changes could be made to ensure that every learner achieves to the best of their ability
Module Indicative Content
This module will incorporate the following:
1) Key equality legislation
2) Principles and purposes of assessment
3) Strategies for identifying issues relating to equality
4) Consideration of how equality and diversity can be advanced within personal professional practice and the whole organisation
Module Additional Assessment Details
1) A review of key issues, legislation and policies relating to equality and diversity in the terms of learner’s practice. (2000 words) 50% LO2 & 3

2) A presentation to peers and the tutor on the extent to which the learner and their organisation advances equality and diversity in terms of their approaches to planning for learning. This could include:
- what challenges are faced
- how these are overcome
- how remaining issues could be dealt with. (1000 words equivalent) 50% LO1-3
