Assessment:

A poster to present critical reflection on developments to professional practice (3,000 words equivalent)
Weighting 100% (LOs 4-6)

Drawing on relevant literature, the poster will communicate to an academic and professional audience:

Findings and analysis from the practice development
Recommendations for further practice and/or career development.

Formative assessment:

Informal presentation of draft poster to peers
Professional discussion on career development opportunities with peers.

In this module you’ll engage in interactive workshops focused on research ethics, data analysis and communicating research findings.

Guided tasks will support you in developing your own, focused small-scale enquiry, as relevant to your education workplace.

There will be opportunities to discuss your work and gain constructive peer feedback to support the implementation of your project. You will also be supported to share your work with a broader education audience.

How can small changes have a big impact on provision in your organisation? In this module, you’ll carry out a small-scale, evidence-informed enquiry within your own setting. This will be based on your approved proposal from the previous module. You’ll engage with research ethics, data collection, and critical analysis. You’ll evaluate the impact of your findings to create a professional poster presentation to share with peers, colleagues and beyond. This will strengthen your ability to reflect on and improve practice, as well as provide a stepping stone to future academic and career progression opportunities.
