INDICATIVE CONTENT
The module provides an opportunity to reflect on CPD themes and the impact that it has had on your own practice, your mathematical pedagogy and the progress of pupils.
It allows you to:
reflect on your own development of knowledge¿
make evidence informed improvements to your practice
reflect on how your understanding of the mathematical pedagogy has developed
consider how your work could be further developed for teaching and learning¿
consider ethical implications when collecting data
explore academic progression opportunities
Throughout the module you will develop an understanding of the following:
Ability to critically engage with literature and become research informed
Ability to write academically (at Level 7)
Ability to use a variety of reflection models and approaches
MOD-LS-1
You will reflect on relevant CPD that will have been completed within a specific theme.
Using your own reflections, discussions with colleagues and examples of work (including your own resources and possible use of pupil work) to evaluate how your teaching has changed and how you could further develop specific teaching strategies.
This module will be delivered using a variety of face to face and online activities, so prior to commencing the module, you will be expected to have access to reliable IT equipment and broadband sufficient for participating in live streamed webinars as well as the ability to attend face to face sessions.
