LEARNING STRATEGIES
Regular supervisory meetings with Principal Supervisor and Second Supervisor. Oral/Written formative feedback from supervisors on draft chapters, research tool design, data analysis, etc. Presentations at research seminars and conferences. Discussion with EdD peers. Opportunities for ongoing formative feedback will be provided.
Supervisory support will be available via, for example, MS Teams, Blackboard Collaborate, telephone, in person, through scheduled appointments.

You will carry out an investigation that makes an original contribution to knowledge in your chosen area of education practice. You will implement the approved research project design, but also, in consultation with your supervisors, be prepared to extend and adjust this.
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Submission of thesis comprising circa 50,000 words which is approved by the Principal Supervisor and which must be in accordance with the regulations for the programme. A viva comprising an oral examination of the thesis by external and internal examiners by at least one external examiner and one internal examiner, and the existing University procedures for professional doctorates.

The thesis research can be qualitative, qualitative or a mixed methodology The thesis will typically comprise: an abstract, introduction, literature review, research design and methodology, findings/results, discussion and conclusion.
