There are two parts to the assessment. The first is a 2000 word research project. The second is a 10-minute speaking test on the topics covered in this module. You have to attempt both assessment elements and achieve a minimum of 40% in both elements to be considered for a pass:
1) A 2000 word coursework essay (weighted at 80%, LO 1, 2, 3)
Students will select one of the topics covered in the module and explore it in more detail.
2) A 10 minute speaking test (weighted at 20%, LO 1, 4)
Students will be asked questions on any of the topics covered in the module (except for the topic on which their coursework essay is based).

All assessments will be conducted in English.
