Module Indicative Content
Steady state analysis of single phase systems under sinusoidal excitation

Steady state analysis of balanced three phase systems under sinusoidal excitation

Transient analysis of simple circuits by(i) finding the general solution and the particular integral(ii) Laplace Transform (iii) Appropraite Software

Transient and steady state analysis of electrical circuits using general purpose network analysis programs. ( e.g. Pspice, PSCAD/EMTDC)

Frequency domain analysis of non-sinusoidal electrical quantitities. Use of software

Electric & Magnetic Fields

Analysis of magnetic circuits. Introduction to saturation

Guided self learning of the use of software packages. This may include the attendance at short courses run by University staff or attendance of other modules as required.
