1. Time domain representation of signals
2. Frequency domain representation of signals (Fourier analysis, DFT, FFT)
3. Analogue signal processing (Oscillators and wave form generators, Differentiators, Integrators, Clipping circuits, Schmidt trigger)
4. Sampling theory, Analogue to digital converters and Digital to analogue converters
5. Digital signal processing (DSP)( DSP processor architecture and families, Principles of digital filters)
6. Introduction to Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)

Module Learning Strategies
One lecture session will support two lab sessions. The lab sessions will cover a range of experiments to demonstrate and verify the theory covered in the lectures.
