Additional Assessment Details
Portfolio 1 will include 2500 words (or equivalent) of your creative writing in each of the literary forms taught on the module (Learning outcomes 1,2,3).
A Reflective Commentary on your creative process for the literary forms (Learning Outcome 4). hted .
Portfolio 2 will include 2000 words (or equivalent) of your creative writing in your chosen specialist form/s taught on the module (Learning outcomes 1,2,3) A Critical Reflection on your Creative Process for the chosen literary form of 1000 words w (Learning Outcome 4).
Indicative Content
This module will introduce you to the main forms of creative writing: prose fiction, script, and poetry through practice-led workshops. Wherever you are in your writing journey, this introductory module will support your development as a writer and expand your knowledge and understanding of the various forms of creative writing.

Learning Strategies
There will be a programme of workshops related to the literary texts, with individual tutorials available to support your own creative writing. One of the principles underlying this module is the belief that the practice of writing can be assisted by knowledge and understanding of literature, so, the practice of reading as a writer in the programme of workshops will accompany creative writing, reading and evaluations of student work in the sessions.
